16th-century country villa at Vignano, near Siena, acquired by the Brandi family in the 18th century and later the home of art historian and restoration theorist Cesare Brandi, who bequeathed it to the Italian state. It preserves his personal art collection, with works by Morandi, Guttuso, Burri and De Pisis, together with his library and archive of letters and photographs.
