Pentagonal Renaissance palace at Caprarola, built between 1559 and 1573 by Jacopo Barozzi da Vignola for Cardinal Alessandro Farnese. It is celebrated for its circular courtyard, the helicoidal Scala Regia ramp designed for riders on horseback, and the frescoed rooms decorated by Taddeo and Federico Zuccari.
