Roman temple in the centre of Rome, rebuilt by the emperor Hadrian around 118-125 AD on the site of an earlier building erected by Agrippa in 27 BC. Its coffered concrete dome, still the largest unreinforced dome in the world, is lit by a single oculus; consecrated as a church in 609 AD, the building also holds the tomb of Raphael.
