Museum at Cassano all'Ionio, between the town of Sibari and the Sybaris archaeological park, opened in the 1990s in a building by architect Riccardo Wallach and enlarged in 2015 by ABDR Architetti Associati. Its collection covers the proto-historic to Roman periods across the successive cities of Sybaris, Thurii and Copia, including Iron Age grave goods from Francavilla Marittima and material from the 6th–4th-century-BC sanctuary of Athena, among it a bronze plaque dedicated by the Olympic victor Kleombrotos.
