Museum in Crotone, within the medieval walls that occupy the site of the ancient Greek acropolis of Croton, opened to the public in 1968. The collection ranges from Neolithic and Bronze Age finds to Roman material, and includes Greek pottery, votive objects from the sanctuary of Hera Lacinia at Capo Colonna, and two bronze siren-shaped vessels of which only three examples are known worldwide.
