Etruscan collection housed in the 15th-century Palazzo Vitelleschi in Tarquinia's historic centre; the museum was founded in 1924. Holdings include frescoes and reconstructed tomb chambers removed from the nearby Monterozzi necropolis, among them the Triclinium and Leopards tombs, alongside the 3rd-century-BC Sarcophagus of the Obese. It ranks among Italy's foremost collections devoted to Etruscan civilization.
