Archaeological area near Galeata preserving the remains of Mevaniola, a town of Umbrian origin later enlarged under Roman rule and mentioned by Pliny the Elder, abandoned around the 4th-5th century CE. Excavations along the old road descending the Bidente valley have uncovered a bath complex with mosaic floors and a cistern.
