Roman villa near Portovenere, developed from the late 2nd century BCE and substantially rebuilt during the Sullan era of the early 1st century BCE as the centre of an agricultural estate specialising in olive oil production. Excavated between 1967 and 1986, it preserves what is regarded as the oldest olive press in Liguria alongside a residential wing with private baths, and remained in use until around the 6th century CE.
