Fine arts museum founded in 1798, in its current building in Citadelpark since 1913 (designed by Charles Van Rysselberghe, rebuilt after wartime damage and reopened in 2007); its roughly thirty rooms cover European art from the 14th century to the postwar period, with Flemish masters including Hieronymus Bosch's 'Christ Carrying the Cross' and works by Rubens and van Dyck.
