Rock shelter on the banks of the Vézère, occupied by Upper Palaeolithic hunter-gatherers between roughly 35,000 and 20,000 years before present. Excavated from 1958 to 1964 by the American archaeologist Hallam L. Movius, it is managed by the National Museum of Natural History and displays its stratigraphy in situ.
