Created in 1962, this museum of history and civilisations has occupied since 1987 the former Faculty of Arts and Sciences, built in the 1880s. It traces the past of Bordeaux and Aquitaine, from the Venus with the Horn of Laussel to the permanent galleries devoted to colonial trade and the slave trade.
