Founded in 1894 by Albert Pitres, dean of the medical faculty, this university museum occupies the former premises of the faculty of medicine and pharmacy on place de la Victoire, built by Jean-Louis Pascal. Forgotten after 1918 and reopened to the public in 2011, it holds some six thousand objects from all five continents.
