Gothic bell tower standing apart from Bordeaux's Saint-André Cathedral, built between 1440 and 1500 at the initiative of Archbishop Pey Berland so its bells would not shake the adjoining building. From the top of the 66-metre tower, reached by 233 steps, a panorama opens over Bordeaux; the site is a UNESCO World Heritage listing as part of the Routes of Santiago de Compostela.
