Opened in June 1990, it occupies a white Carrara marble building shaped as a four-towered arch spanning the Paillon, designed by the architects Yves Bayard and Henri Vidal. Its collections trace art since the late 1950s: Nouveau Réalisme from Nice with Klein, Arman and Raysse, American Pop Art, and the Niki de Saint Phalle donation.
