A holiday villa built from 1898 to 1901 by Hans-Georg Tersling and Aaron Messiah for Victor Masséna, Prince of Essling, in an Italian neoclassical style tinged with Empire. Given to the city in 1919, it has housed a museum of the history of Nice since 1921, which includes Gros's Portrait of the Empress Joséphine.
