Opened in 2016 at the heart of Vieux-Nice, it occupies a former electrical substation commissioned in the 1930s, whose industrial character it has retained. Named after the painter and photographer Charles Nègre (1820–1880), a pioneer of photography, it programmes monographic exhibitions and regional photographic creation.
