Founded in 1857 and set in part of the former Jesuit college, the museum presents point d'Alençon, a needle lace inscribed on UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage list in 2010. It also holds paintings from the 16th to the 20th century and a Cambodian collection assembled by Adhémard Leclère.
