Museum of the archaeology and history of Le Mans, opened in 2009 in the Saint-Nicolas district to designs by the architect Bernard Althabegoïty. Its displays run from prehistory to medieval Maine and include the Plantagenet enamel plaque, the Sablons treasure, the Coëffort treasure and six recumbent effigies.
