Former residence of the archbishops of Reims, remodeled in classical style by Robert de Cotte in the late 17th century, the palace hosted the coronation banquets of French kings in its Salle du Tau. A museum since 1972, it displays original statues from the cathedral — including a 5.4-metre Goliath — tapestries, and the coronation treasury, among them Charlemagne's talisman.
