Opened in March 1977 in a building by the architect Aldo Travaglini that incorporates the colonnade of the former episcopal palace of 1782, it bears the name of a mayor of the town. Its collections bring together Gallo-Roman archaeology, modern art, ornithology, Vosges ethnography and mementoes of Jules Ferry.
