Library formed from the union of the collection of Sélestat's Latin school, founded in 1452, and the personal library of the humanist Beatus Rhenanus, bequeathed to the town in 1547 and inscribed on UNESCO's Memory of the World register. The collections are displayed in the former grain hall, redesigned by Rudy Ricciotti and reopened in 2018.
