Romanesque-Gothic canonry near Albugnano, first documented in 1095 and largely built between the mid-12th and early 13th centuries, traditionally, though legendarily, linked to a foundation by Charlemagne. Its facade in alternating bands of sandstone and brick and its sculpted rood screen of 1189, depicting the Dormition of the Virgin and the genealogy of Christ, make it one of Piedmont's most significant Romanesque monuments, despite never having formally held abbey status.
