Etruscan and Roman site near Capena, developed around a sanctuary of the Italic goddess Feronia that was plundered by Hannibal in 211 BCE and later refounded as the Roman colony of Lucus Feroniae under Julius Caesar and Augustus. The archaeological area preserves a forum with temples, houses, a Trajanic-era amphitheatre, baths, and the large Villa of the Volusii Saturnini, while the antiquarium displays statuary, jewellery, inscriptions, and reliefs recovered from the site.
