A castle near Langhirano, in the hills above Parma, built between 1448 and 1460 for the condottiero Pier Maria II de' Rossi as both a stronghold and a residence for his companion Bianca Pellegrini, with a triple ring of walls and four towers around a central Corte d'Onore. Its Camera d'Oro is frescoed in Gothic style, attributed to Benedetto Bembo or his circle, with scenes of courtly life and portraits of the couple; since June 2024 the castle has formed part of the Pilotta Monumental Complex in Parma.
