Franciscan church in Gerace built in the early 13th century on the remains of an earlier Romanesque building, with an adjoining convent founded by Brother Daniele, a companion of Francis of Assisi; the church was completed by 1252. It preserves a Gothic portal with Arab-Norman decoration, a 17th-century polychrome marble altar, and the 1372 marble sarcophagus of the knight Nicola Ruffo.
