Archaeological museum in the Castle of Melfi, inaugurated in 1976 and dedicated to archaeologist Massimo Pallottino. It preserves finds from the Vulture-Melfese area spanning prehistory to the Norman period, including the 2nd-century-AD Roman sarcophagus of Rapolla, and, since a 2021 reopening in the castle's Marcangione Tower, Swabian and Angevin ceramics and glassware.
