National archaeological museum of the Abruzzo region, opened in 1959 in Villa Frigerj, a neoclassical villa built around 1830 for Baron Ferrante Frigerj by architect Enrico Riccio. Its collection traces Abruzzo from prehistory to the late Roman period, including the Warrior of Capestrano statue and a numismatic collection of around 15,000 coins.
