Sixteenth-century noble palace in the old town of Bari, built over the remains of a Byzantine church and earlier Imperial-Roman structures and later owned by the Simi de Burgis family. Since 1999 it has served as the archaeology operations centre of Bari, hosting exhibitions on the city's ancient and medieval past.
