Large imperial-era villa between the Via Tuscolana and Via Appia, built under Antoninus Pius (138-161 AD) and occupied into the 4th century. The 37,000-square-metre complex included three residential blocks around a portico and a hippodrome-shaped garden nearly 330 metres long, its dramatic four-storey facade surviving until it collapsed in a storm in 1951.
