Museum in Boscoreale, opened in 1991, devoted to daily life, agriculture and viticulture in the Vesuvian countryside before the eruption of AD 79. Its collection, drawn from villas and farms in the area, part of the wider Pompeii Archaeological Park network, includes tools, food remains, an animal cast with its collar, and material from the Villa della Pisanella, notably a scale model of its wine cellar holding 84 storage jars. Nearby stands Villa Regina, the only Roman farm villa in the area to have been fully excavated and reconstructed.
