Archaeological park at the site of Vetulonia, one of the twelve cities of the Etruscan League in northern Etruria, occupied from the Iron Age into the Roman period. Physician Isidoro Falchi identified the site and led excavations from 1884 to 1913, uncovering rich orientalizing tombs such as the Tomba del Duce and the Tomba della Pietrera, alongside the later Poggiarello Renzetti residential quarter with its Hellenistic-Roman houses and paved streets.
