Urban archaeological park in Pontecagnano Faiano preserving part of ancient Picentia, a Roman colony founded in 268 BCE over an earlier pre-Roman settlement. Excavated areas reveal street grids and residential blocks in use from the 4th to the 3rd century BCE, when the town was abandoned; the park is managed as a green space alongside its ongoing role as an excavation site for the universities of Salerno and Molise.
