National archaeological museum opened in 2000 in the former Convent of San Francesco, founded in the 13th century and remodelled in the 16th and 18th, which served as Eboli's town hall and courthouse before wartime bombing led to its abandonment and 1990s restoration. Its 600 square metres of galleries display pottery, weapons, jewellery and funerary goods from the Neolithic to the Middle Ages found across the middle Sele Valley.
