Roman villa on Lake Garda at Desenzano, built from the late 1st century BCE and substantially rebuilt in the 4th century CE into a luxurious residence with polychrome floor mosaics depicting hunting and harvest scenes. Discovered by chance in 1921 during house-building work, the site is now paired with an Antiquarium museum, inaugurated in 1971, that displays finds from the excavations.
