Former Benedictine abbey in Ghent, tracing its origins to the 7th century, with most of its present buildings dating from the 17th and 18th centuries and a surviving medieval refectory. Secularised after the French Revolution, it now hosts cultural-historical, literary and photography exhibitions around a large garden with a vineyard and orchard.
