Former residence of the Dukes of Bourbon, of which the 14th-century keep known as La Mal-Coiffée survives, standing 45 metres high and built by Louis II of Bourbon. Ravaged by fire in 1755 and later converted into a prison, it served as a German military jail from 1940 to 1944 and has been open to visitors since 2007.
