Château built in the early 17th century for François de Bonne, Duke of Lesdiguières and Constable of France, at the foot of the Belledonne massif. In 1788 it was the setting for the Assembly of Vizille, a prelude to the Estates-General, and has housed the Museum of the French Revolution since 1983, set within extensive grounds.
