Contemporary art centre housed in a metal hall built by the Eiffel workshops for the 1900 Universal Exposition, then re-erected in Grenoble by the industrialist Hippolyte Bouchayer. Restored by the architect Patrick Bouchain, it has hosted temporary exhibitions since 1986, often produced on site with the artists, on the model of the German Kunsthallen.
