Created in 1988 for the centenary of the Alpine troops, the museum has occupied the casemated rooms of the Fort de la Bastille, above Grenoble, since 2009. Weapons, uniforms, equipment and reconstructed scenes trace the history of the chasseurs alpins, nicknamed the 'blue devils' since the First World War.
