Gallo-Roman museum set into the hillside of Fourvière, inaugurated in 1975 to designs by Bernard Zehrfuss, its concrete ramps spiralling downward and opening through wide bays onto the ancient theatre and odeon of Lugdunum. Its collections bring together the Claudian Tablet, the Coligny calendar, a bronze Neptune, and a remarkable collection of mosaics.
