Lyon's Saint-Jean Cathedral, built between 1175 and 1481 in a style blending Romanesque and Gothic, houses one of the oldest working astronomical clocks, dating from the 14th century. Its treasury, assembled in the 19th century by cardinals Fesch and de Bonald in the adjoining manécanterie, brings together goldwork, Limoges enamels, tapestries and liturgical vestments from the 10th to the 19th century, including a monstrance donated by Joséphine de Beauharnais.
