Opened in 2014 at the southern tip of the Presqu'île, where the Rhône and Saône meet, in a Deconstructivist building by the Vienna firm Coop Himmelb(l)au. Successor to Lyon's Guimet natural history museum, it brings together natural science, anthropology and the history of societies.
