The Palais de la Berbie, a 13th-century fortress that was the residence of the bishops of Albi until 1905, has housed the museum founded through the bequest of the artist's mother since 1922. More than a thousand paintings, drawings, lithographs and posters make it the most complete collection in the world of works by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec.
