Elevated passageway nearly a kilometre long, built by Giorgio Vasari in 1565 for Cosimo I de' Medici to let the family cross from Palazzo Vecchio to Palazzo Pitti over the Ponte Vecchio without setting foot in the street. Reopened after restoration, it is now hung with a collection of self-portraits.
