Archaeological museum in Palestrina, founded in 1956 and set on the upper terraces of the ancient Sanctuary of Fortuna Primigenia within Palazzo Colonna Barberini. It displays finds from ancient Praeneste, including funerary goods from the local necropoleis and the Nile Mosaic, a 2nd-century-BC depiction of the river from Ethiopia to the Mediterranean thought to be the work of Alexandrian craftsmen.
