National archaeological museum inaugurated in 1995 to display finds from ancient Capua, spanning the Iron Age through the Etruscan, Samnite and Roman periods. It occupies a 19th-century former cavalry barracks built over the remains of the ancient Capitolium and incorporating the medieval Torre di Sant'Erasmo, with ceramics, bronzes, mosaics and funerary goods from the Capua excavations.
