National archaeological museum established in 1903 by the municipality of Adria around the Bocchi family collection, and housed since 1961 in a purpose-built structure designed by architect Giambattista Scarpari, expanded with a curved new wing between 2002 and 2009. It preserves pre-Roman and Roman finds from the area, notably the Tomb of the Biga, a 3rd-century BC chariot burial with three horses.
