National museum of classical, Etruscan and Egyptian antiquities, first opened in 1870 and moved in 1880 to the Palazzo della Crocetta, built between 1619 and 1621 by architect Giulio Parigi for Princess Maria Maddalena de' Medici. Its holdings include the Chimera of Arezzo, the bronze Orator (Arringatore) and the François Vase, alongside one of Italy's major Egyptian collections.
