National archaeological museum established in 1968 and installed in its present galleries in 1997, on the ground floor of the Palazzo Municipale in rooms known as the 'Stalloni dei Borbone.' It displays Roman imperial sculpture, portraits, funerary monuments and frescoes from Formia's forum area and the maritime villa at Gianola.
