National archaeological museum built specifically to house the monumental sculptural groups recovered in fragments during the late 1950s from a seaside grotto within Emperor Tiberius's villa at Sperlonga. The four groups, 1st-century AD Roman versions of Greek originals of the 5th-2nd centuries BC, depict episodes from Homer's Odyssey, including the blinding of Polyphemus.
